ESET celebrates 30 years

To commemorate 30 years, ESET launches a year-long campaign to honor three decades of innovation and progress in IT Security worldwide. ESET has recorded steady growth and currently stands as one of the largest privately owned security vendors in the world . The company still develops the majority of its software in one of its 12 in-house development centers.

“For the past thirty years we have been addressing security challenges of digital worlds by pioneering the use of proactive technologies and artificial intelligence,” said Richard Marko, Chief Executive Officer at ESET. “We remain focused on innovation and delivering the best security solutions on the market.”

ESET has come a long way since 1987. From its humble beginings as a small startup, it quickly grew into a strong and stable cybersecurity vendor conducting business in over 200 countries and territories globally.

What ESET stands for as a company is deeply rooted in its DNA. “We firmly believe that technology is only as good as the people behind it,” says Juraj Malcho, Chief Technology Office at ESET. “With almost 1500 employees, we still attract the most talented, ethical and passionate people set out to use their full potential.”

In the continued pursuit to develop the best protection possible, the company has broadened its portfolio from malware detection and into new areas of security – threat intelligence, encryption, data backup, two-factor authentication and patch management among others. These offerings not only add depth to ESET’s growing catalog of security services, but they confirm ESET’s laser-focus on delivering security solutions for the future.
