SilverBridge subsidiary, Cirrus is using Microsoft Azure as the foundation for the Exergy managed services offering, designed for the long-term insurance industry in Africa.
This will provide insurance companies across the continent with a cost-effective and efficient way to improve both policy administration and the customer experience.
Exergy is an enterprise administration platform handling life, group schemes, and pension insurance. It is a customisable and functionally rich solution that has been modelled to best insurance practices, enabling companies to improve business efficiencies and ensure accurate regulatory and compliance reporting.
“Cirrus has significant experience gained through Exergy system implementations and ongoing customer support contracts throughout Africa. This experience has positioned the organisation to be able to understand typical administrative challenges and remove manual processes through efficient use of automation. To the customer, this means they can outsource their policy administration in an affordable way so that they can focus on their specialised skills in product development and channel management,” said Patrick Ashton, CEO, Cirrus.
Through Cirrus, clients can take new products to market quicker or enter other African countries in a more affordable manner. Companies do not have to invest in building the required infrastructure as the Cirrus managed services approach takes care of that requirement.
“The benefits of Microsoft Azure to enable go-to-market strategies are ably demonstrated through the SilverBridge offering, which is providing African insurers with cost-effective ways to reach their customers quickly,” said Morgan Webb, partner business evangelist, Microsoft South Africa.
