Schneider Electric has announced that for the third consecutive year it has been positioned by Gartner as a leader in the Magic Quadrant for Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) Tools. The achievement was for the company’s StruxureWare for Data Centers software suite. “Schneider Electric believes this recognition underlines its ability to deliver an integrated, flexible and innovative DCIM solution suite, as exemplified by the launch of new cloud and colo capabilities earlier this year,” said the company in a statement.
“Emerging forces such as Internet of Things, convergence, everything-as-a-service and cloud are driving data center complexity and increasing costs. Ensuring that data centers deliver maximum ROI – no matter their environment – requires flexible, connected, intelligent and data-driven operation,” said Thierry Chamayou, Vice President for Middle East, Africa, Central & East Europe- IT Business, Schneider Electric. “We believe being recognized for the third time as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for DCIM speaks to the breadth and depth of Schneider Electric’s DCIM suite, including the recently released cloud-based StruxureOn and colo-specific StruxureWare Data Center Operation 8.0. These solutions harness the power of IoT and bridge the gap between IT and facilities to empower data center managers with the asset visibility, capacity planning capabilities, risk management and predictive maintenance functionality needed to increase efficiency and reliability.”
Gartner’s extensive review process is based on 15 evaluation criteria measured by ‘completeness of vision’ and ‘ability to execute.’ With StruxureWare for Data Centers, Schneider Electric believes users can more easily monitor and analyze infrastructure to maintain the integrity of the data center to reduce downtime risks and maintenance costs while increasing and optimizing operational performance.
Schneider Electric’s StruxureWare for Data Centers suite enables maximum efficiency throughout the data center lifecycle, from design and build to operation, assessment and planning, for colocation providers and the enterprise. StruxureOn, a digital service that connects data center physical infrastructure assets to the Schneider Electric cloud, enables real-time visibility into system performance, maintenance and service requirements via mobile app and uses data-driven analytics to proactively advise of potential failures, fundamentally improving the ability to service critical equipment before an issue occurs.
