Medcare has implemented an innovative and easy-to-use converged communications and network solution to deliver a high-quality patient care. The health care provider made use of Alcatel-Lucent’s Enterprise solutions to implement this solution.
By installing the ALE’s converged solutions, over 1500 users now have instant access to medical information, such as MRI scans and X-Rays. This innovative solution offers the more critical areas of the hospitals and medical centers like the operating room, more priority and thereby ensuring information is readily available to the doctors to make life saving decisions.

An additional benefit of the solution is that the converged data and voice network is centrally managed by the network management team. The IT team now has real-time insight and greater control over network status and operations, which significantly reduces outages and bottlenecks.
