Red Hat announced that its cloud application platform, OpenShift for the second year in a row has won the Technology of the Year award from Infoworld.

OpenShift is Red Hat’s Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) that allows developers to quickly develop, host, and scale applications in a cloud environment. With OpenShift you have a choice of offerings, including online, on-premise, and open source project options. Leading companies around the world now use OpenShift to build internal clouds, power online applications of all sizes and improve operational efficiency.

Ashesh Badani, vice president and general manager, OpenShift, Red Hat said, “I am thrilled to be included as an InfoWorld Product of the Year for the second year in a row.
