TP-LINK appointed Shabih Ul Hassnain as the new Channel Manager for UAE to drive and manage entire UAE channel business and support the retail and wholesale markets. The company expects this move will help TP-LINK to cement its footprint in the SMB segment in the country.

Denny Liang, Vice President at TP-LINK Middle East and Africa said, “We have been working closely with our distributors and channel partners to make sure product availability and market demand are met. With Shabih onboard he will ensure that the retail and wholesale sectors of the channel are properly supported from TP-LINK in order to stimulate business growth,” Liang said. “We have designed weekly promotion schemes, which will help partners in the retail and wholesale markets to earn better margins and this will be Shabih’s priority.

Liang said “the appointment of Hassnain will also help TP-LINK to extend its reach in the SMB segment. Our SOHO business has continued to grow and it’s driving us deeper into the SMB sector, where we need to put more focus and develop our business to get a larger share of the market.”

Hassnain said “it is an exciting and challenging position, but delighting to be joining TP-LINK at this time in its history in MEA. I will be responsible for improving customer consumption, planning and implementing customer presentations, overseeing account profiles and monitoring competitor activities. Being a channel manager means he will have to address both retail and wholesale channels. Working along with the marketing team, we will be looking at growing the business and market share in the UAE.”
