Qumu Corporation, a manufacturer of innovative solutions to create, manage, secure, distribute and measure the success of enterprise video, has announced the opening of its Dubai office that will serve as the headquarters for its operations in Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and Turkey.
According to the company, the Middle East operations will be supported by marketing and technical teams covering both pre-sales and professional services functions.
Sherman Black, CEO, Qumu, said: “The high levels of interest from both end-users and partners has driven our decision to open an office in UAE. Having a local sales presence will allow us to better serve existing customers, provide support to the needs of prospects and to efficiently drive business from within the region.”
Qumu’s Middle East will be based in Dubai Internet City and will provide support to partners and end users in MENA and Turkey.
The company also said Cem Ocal has joined Qumu as its general manager for Middle East. Ocal brings 17 years of experience in both direct and channel sales roles covering the Middle East and Turkey to the position. Before joining Qumu, Ocal was at Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise based in Dubai.
