Samsung launched the latest addition in the tablet category, Galaxy Tab A available in two screen sizes – 8.0 –inch and 9.7-inch and 3 versions. It runs on latest Android 5.0 Lollipop software, the 9.7 -inch is equipped with an optional enhanced S-Pen.
The new range of Galaxy Tab A is competitively priced. The rate for 8.0” (LTE) T355 for AED 1199, 9.7” (LTE) T555 for AED 1399 and the 9.7” with S Pen (LTE) SM-P555 for AED 1599.

The new tablet is faster, thinner and comes with 5 MP autofocus rear-camera and a 2 MP forward facing camera. Galaxy Tab A offers a stunning display in a 4:3 aspect ratio that showcases websites and publications better, maximizing coverage and minimizing blank space, also allowing 20% more material for web pages and 30% in emails. The new interface has been upgraded for better usability in an easy-to-view 6×6 setup for apps.
The optional S-Pen lets users access more functions with mouse-like accuracy and selection. Further abilities include quick information extraction, easy sharing with Drag & Drop and more accurate highlighting using Enhanced Scrapbook. Enhanced pressure sensitivity will now offer an improved digital handwriting experience. The S-Pen will offer considerable ease of use when it comes to taking notes at meetings, supporting business solutions such as Microsoft Office for Android (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Multi-Window view allows for multitasking which can be easily purchased and installed.
Children especially can enjoy a highly interactive experience with animated characters responding to touch in the Kids mode- a safe child-friendly setting, while the parent’s own files are protected. Parental Control features including activity monitoring and play time restrictions.
