OMA Emirates has successfully implemented the Ingenico POS solution for National Bank of Oman. The technologically advanced payment terminal from Ingenico works on multi communication protocol which enables the bank to maximize transaction efficiency and speed while also being able to provide a range of additional services to its customers in a secure transaction environment.

The new POS terminal is equipped with smart card readers to provide the option, to read magnetic stripe cards and contactless technology and is capable of future upgrades to keep up with the changing customer requirements. The solution also facilitates increased business opportunities by enabling National Bank of Oman to take advantage of the multi-application capabilities to facilitate services which include installment/loan option, dynamic currency convertor, loyalty programs, and mobile prepaid, all on one device.

OMA also believes that the integration of the electronic cash register (ECR) system with the multi-application environment will provide the Bank an leading edge.
