Security and storage solutions vendor Barracuda Networks is expanding its worldwide partner programme with new partner levels and additional benefits for resellers, including an MSP programme for its managed services offerings.

The new programme will stack partners into four tiers, including the new Premier level for Barracuda’s top sellers. The existing Diamond, Platinum and Certified tiers have been rebranded as Preferred, Authorised and Registered, respectively. Revenue and training requirements have also been adjusted, according to the announcement.

Barracuda said the tier changes will allow the company’s growing and regional partners to be more competitive with the addition of improved deal registration and expanded product protection for the company’s solutions. The security and storage solutions provider expects its revamped program to provide partners with greater global consistency and offer resellers opportunities to benefit from dedicated service.

“Over the years we’ve added a tremendous amount of innovative technologies to our solution portfolio to provide our channel partners with the best possible options to solve security and storage challenges for customers,” said Michael Hughes, senior vice president,Worldwide Sales, Barracuda, in a statement. “We’ll continue to focus on ensuring our partners are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to solve these IT challenges, but also better aligning the program to meet the different needs of resellers at every partner level.”

Other programme additions include the ability for qualified managed service partners to sell Barracuda Backup and Barracuda NG Firewall, improved discounts for evaluation products and an increased purchase limit for products used for training and partner backup.

In addition, the company said partners can now register four times the amount of Barracuda solutions, with increased product discounts to reward partner-generated opportunities, access training through the Barracuda University and partners in good standing will be enrolled in the new tiers automatically, according to the announcement.
