Canon’s all-in-one business inkjet printers – Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050, have received the Red Dot Design Award for Product Design 2015.In the Middle East and African regions, the Canon MAXIFY MB5350 is referred to as the Canon MAXIFY MB5340.
The Red Dot Design Award for Product Design is a globally-renowned accolade recognising the pinnacle of technological innovation in everything from furniture to automobiles. The jury consists of 38 veteran design professionals, which this year included David Andersen, Professor Werner Aisslinger and Dato’ Professor Jimmy Choo OBE.
The Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050 were launched in 2014 as part of a new line of multifunction inkjet printers designed to support growing businesses. They use a unique combination of print head and paper feed system, developed specifically for the MAXIFY range, aimed to deliver a high level of speed and reliability in a compact design. The devices have a sleek and symmetrical aesthetic, making them versatile both visually and ergonomically.
All of this year’s winning products, including the Canon MAXIFY MB5350 and MB5050, will be showcased at a special exhibit to be held from 30 June to 26 July 2015 at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, Germany.
