TP-LINK to open Subsidiary in South Africa

TP-LINK is now setting its focus on South Africa and is preparing to open a subsidiary in the country, the company’s General Manager for Africa, Will Liu has told Channel Post MEA.

Liu was earlier speaking in an interview in which he said that 3G/4G device are growing fast in Africa with more customer choosing 3G/4G as the internet solution.

He observed that along with the growth of smart devices in the region, networking business has huge potential. “We develop multiple devices to meet the requirement of all kinds of customers. We are looking for big growth on 3G/4G products,” he added.

Liu also revealed that TP-LINK will soon launch a partner program for Africa. He said his company supports its partners in each country.

On TP-LINK’s challenges in operating in Africa, Liu said that while there are many countries in the region, the challenge which is an advantage for TP-LINK is, “to supply different products and make sure every customer enjoys the internet.”

This year, TP-LINK expects to drive growth in Africa by delivering new products of reliable quality, and to strike a win-win cooperation with its partners on the ground.
