Riverbed Technology, elevated Taj ElKhayat to the level of regional vice president for Middle East, Turkey, North, West, and Central Africa region (METNA).
Elkhayat rose through the ranks at a faster pace ever since he joined Riverbed January 2013, as he set the ball rolling for company growth with a go-to-market strategy for the region.
The new role requires ElKhayat to further strengthen company’s position in the region by expanding its penetration into new industry verticals and growing its regional footprint in emerging markets.
Kristian Thyregod, Senior Vice President, EMEA at Riverbed said, “Taj has done an outstanding job in the region, and since he joined the company, he has brought strong vision, leadership and passion to the team. Riverbed in the region which has been traditionally operational in oil & gas, banking and finance, and aviation segments of economy, has recently seen increasing interest from the retail segment.
Now the company intent to work closely with regional telecom providers as they wish to replicate their success of working closely with telecom companies in mature IT markets.
“We have already firmly entrenched Riverbed in the GCC and Saudi Arabia and will now look to expand, together with our partners, into neighbouring markets.
