
Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), the integrated free zone technology park, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jordan Mobile Telephone Services Company (Zain) towards the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems in Dubai and Jordan.
The DSOA through its Dubai Technology Entrepreneurship Centre (DTEC) an entrepreneurship centre in the region and Zain through its Innovation Campus will encourage the integration of young Emirati talent into the telecoms sector and facilitate the professional growth of employees through hosting periodic training courses, workshops, seminars and conferences.
Shahla Ahmed Abdul Razak, deputy CEO of DSOA, said: “Dubai Silicon Oasis has launched several initiatives to support the growing community of entrepreneurs in the technology sector. The agreement further strengthens the symbiotic relationship shared by the two organisations.”
Razak added that as an integrated hi-tech park, DSOA is committed to offering comprehensive services, amenities and activities to investors and stakeholders. “We are keen to strengthen cooperation and collaboration with various private institutions across the region as part of our continued commitment to articulate the national priority to support entrepreneurship,” she said.
Zain Jordan CEO, Ahmad Hanandeh commented: “We are glad that Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority joins Zain Jordan as one of its strategic partners, where this partnership will contribute in shedding the light on Jordan that has become a regional centre for capabilities and innovative ideas, and a hub for evolving entrepreneurship and startups”.
