Communications technology and services vendor Ericsson has appointed Mohamad Dergham as the new Head of Ericsson North Middle East region.
The move according to Ericsson is part of a broader move to reaffirm the company’s long-term vision to further strengthen the its market position and accelerate the transformation towards the networked society in the northern Middle East countries.
Rafiah Ibrahim, president, Ericsson Middle East, said: “Mohammed’s extensive experience gives him the relevant market competence and experience to drive Ericsson’s position in north Middle East to new heights. We have every confidence in his abilities to successfully lead his team and drive market presence in this dynamically developing marketplace.”
Dergham added that: “This is an exciting time to be taking up the reins in a region that has been home for several years. North Middle East represents a key market for Ericsson with myriad opportunities, which we will seek in the coming year and beyond. Dergham takes the new position after several years as Ericsson’s country manager in Iraq, giving him a strong understanding of the new geographical territory that he will oversee.
Having been with Ericsson since 2001, Dergham has held several positions within the company and in the region.
