Secunia to host first international Partner Conference in Dubai

Secunia, a leading provider of IT security solutions that enable businesses and private individuals to manage and control the threats posed by software vulnerabilities, hosts its first international Secunia Partner Conference on 22 and 23 October, 2014. The conference marks the one-year anniversary of Secunia’s Partner Program, which was introduced in 2013.

Secunia logoPartners from all over the world are flying in to join the Partner Conference, and take part in a program packed with news and insights.

“The point of the conference is to strengthen Secunia’s relationship with our channel. The conference is an ideal setting for a dialogue: We are able to communicate strategy, news and vision and we will have key Secunia employees present to answer questions. From their side, the partners can present and exchange ideas, suggest change and provide feedback on existing activities,” said Secunia CEO Peter Colsted.

The Secunia Partner program was launched in November 2013. The program was a significant change in the 12 year old company’s go-to-market strategy, and was introduced to enable Secunia to push more aggressively into Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Since the introduction of the Partner Program, Secunia’s route to market is almost exclusively through the channel – except in North America, where Secunia’s presence is headed by a subsidiary, staffed by direct sales and customer support.

“The first year of our Partner Program has been a success. We have established a world-wide network of Distribution Partners, VARs and MSPs, and it is proving an effective means of strengthening our presence in the regions we are looking to grow in. Our channel is an integral part of Secunia, and this forum is the ideal place to understand both the challenges our partners encounter and the opportunities they see, to enable us to better support their efforts by strengthening our understanding of what services we can provide to assist their day-to-day business,”  said Peter Colsted.

The Partner Conference is held in Dubai, a bustling technology hub in the Middle East, where Secunia’s business is currently booming. It is also the location of one of the Microsoft Technology Centers, where the Secunia CSI is scheduled for deployment, enabling IT teams in the region to test the solution in a Microsoft SCCM environment.

Apart from nicer weather than Northern Europe can generally deliver in late October, Dubai is the location of choice because it is easily accessible for partners from both Asia-Pacific and Europe. In addition to this, Secunia’s strong Distribution Partner for the Middle East, EMT MEA, is headquartered in Dubai. The conference will have attendees from 14 different countries.

Partners participating in the conference will be presented with a full program of exciting keynotes, including talks on digital crime, threats and mitigation, fromMicrosoft MEA, Microsoft Gulf, Coretech and of course Secunia; as well as in-depth introductions to Secunia’s product roadmap, solutions and the company from Secunia experts and C-level.
