Samsung Launches South Africa’s First Blue Weekend Promotion

In a continuous effort to make its premium TVs accessible to everyone in the South African market, Samsung Electronics South Africa, has created an exciting new initiative for the month of October, called the Insane Samsung Blue Weekend promotion.

“We specifically created this campaign in response to an overwhelming demand for our premium products. It is a first of its kind not only for Samsung, but for South Africa as a whole. We are building on best global practices and with this implementation we are taking a distinct cue from the Black Friday promotion in the US. This is the first time that a premium product is offered in multiple channels simultaneously, both for cash and on credit,” says Ansgar Pabst, Business Lead for TV/AV at Samsung Electronics SA.

Samsung’s SMART TVs are part of a new digital world, providing viewers with a choice when it comes to consuming information and entertainment via their television set. From 10-12 October consumers will be able to buy two new models of Samsung’s Smart TVs at incredibly low prices.

In the promo, every SMART TV purchased, will also come with One Million Megs of free premium grade ADSL data, valid for a year. This will enable users to explore the richness of the internet in its totality, discovering a whole new world of information and entertainment on their TVs. For example they would be able to stream up to 60 000 videos, watch up to 1000 movies, connect with social media, email, chat and surf the internet, everything for free.
