Veeam continues strong performance in UAE reporting growth of over 50% in total bookings revenue

Veeam Software, innovative provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Modern Data Center, today announced the results for Q2 2014 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Veeam reported more than 50 percent increase in total bookings revenue and over 90 percent increase in new customers totaling over 700 clients when compared with the same period last year.

Web“There are excellent prospects in the UAE for us to increase our footprint in the region and bridge the gap between the requirements of the Always-On Business and IT’s ability to effectively deliver business continuity as well as IT resilience to the majority of businesses in the country,” said Gregg Petersen, Veeam Software, regional director, Middle East and SAARC.

Veeam’s Backup from NetApp SnapShot enables IT to create backups from NetApp SnapShot every 15 minutes or less with no impact on the production environment. Always-On Business has high requirements regarding both the recovery time objective (RTO) and the recovery point objective (RPO), measured in minutes rather than hours or days. With Veeam Availability Suite, for the first time, a RTPO of less than 15 minutes can be achieved for the majority of applications and data. In addition, Veeam’s new features in the upcoming Availability Suite v8 include EMC Data Domain Boost Integration that enables 50 percent faster backups.

“The results for the second quarter in the UAE speak volumes about our commitment to the region. As we enter the second half of 2014, we anticipate a continued growth trajectory as a result of our new products, and we seek to align with businesses in the region to overcome challenges such as unreliable data protection, data loss and delayed recovery times,” continued Petersen.

Globally, Veeam grew 30 percent in the first half of 2014 over the corresponding period last year. The second quarter of 2014 marks Veeam’s 26th consecutive quarter in which quarterly total bookings revenue has experienced double-digit percentage growth over the same period during the previous year.

Global customer growth showed more than 11,000 new customers added in Q2 and with more than 111,500 customers overall, Veeam now protects over 6.5 million virtual machines around the world. This customer momentum has also led to Veeam’s first flagship event, Veeam ON: The World’s Premier Data Center Availability Event, taking place October 6–9, 2014 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, NV. Veeam will bring together industry-leading experts, Veeam customers and partners who will learn about enabling the Always-On Business.
