CommVault recognised as the 2014 Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year winner

CommVault today announced it has won the 2014 Microsoft Server Platform Partner of the Year Award. The company was honored among a global field of top Microsoft Corp. partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

commvault-systems-logoThe Server Platform Partner of the Year Award honors a partner who has delivered solutions that enable customers to increase the reliability and flexibility of server infrastructures, save time and reduce costs, and provide a server platform for a dynamic and efficiently managed datacenter. This award recognizes CommVault and its Simpana software platform for dramatically transforming customers’ server infrastructures resulting in higher levels of scalability, availability and reliability, reduced IT labor or hardware costs, and streamlined overall operational efficiency.

Awards were presented in multiple categories, with winners chosen from a set of more than 2,800 entrants from 117 different countries worldwide. CommVault was recognized for providing outstanding solutions and services in data and information protection and management.

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognize partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the past year and celebrate top Microsoft partners that are solving customer challenges with creative technology solutions. Award winners and finalists, chosen from nominations from around the world, will be recognized at the 2014 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, taking place July 13–17, 2014, in Washington, D.C.

CommVault recently announced an extension of its long relationship with Microsoft by providing new, highly scalable solutions for managing and protecting data in Hyper-V virtual environments, managing workloads in Microsoft Azure, and new integration for Exchange, Office 365, SharePoint, SQL Server and Windows endpoint devices.

These enhancements to CommVault’s Simpana singular software platform are tailored for Microsoft applications and infrastructure and are designed to help enterprises cut costs by up to 50 percent, increase the value of data, drive business efficiencies and reduce risk. They include new capabilities for the management and access of data across the enterprise, from front offices to hosted cloud services, designed for the highest operational efficiency.
