Shifra addresses latest cyber threats and solutions at GISEC 2014

A recent International Data Corporation (IDC) study predicted that the Middle East’s spending on IT services and products will increase by 7.3% year on year in 2014 to top USD32 billion (AED 117.5 billion). The increasing demand for cyber-security solutions remains a top priority for the IT industry. In an effort to meet this requirement Shifra, UAE-based value added distributor, will be showcasing its latest next-generation security solutions at this year’s GISEC 2014.

“Cyber-security now sits squarely on the top of the agenda for companies, not only around the world but in the Middle East as well,” said Ahmad Elkhatib, Managing Partner at Shifra. “GISEC offers us a platform to show our reseller partners and end users the latest technology in addition to commentating, advising and providing updates on recent IT threats in the region so we can stay ahead.”

Shifra (stand SM-A55) exhibited services and solutions from its global vendors including, Gemalto, Bradford Networks, Centrify and Proofpoint in order to tackle and address the sophisticated threats in the region.

“MENA governments are investing millions in order to boost its cyber defense this year. Governments and large scale-organisations are making proactive purchasing decisions because they no longer underestimate the impact of cyber-security threats,” continued Elkhatib.

For the past seven years Shifra’s products have been helping companies protect their information from breaches and attacks and used its participation at GISEC to connect with reseller partners within the region.
