Dubai Computer Group (DCG), an association of IT channels in Dubai, today conducted its first-ever IT Trade Show. According to DCG, the IT Trade Show is in line to provide the channel a way to maximise the benefits for business expansion, and also help foster fellowship among the trade members and community. “This is the best business networking opportunity for IT trade partners,” explained Dharmendra Sawlani, the General Secretary of Dubai Computer Group.

The event which runs from May 14th to May 15th 2014, 10 am to 6 pm, at Grand Excelsior Hotel (old Dhow Palace Hotel) saw participation from over 20 DCG members. Exhibitors included Achievers Computers, Al Otaiba Group of Companies, Cursor, Data Care, Deal Time, Digital Future Solutions, Experts Computers, GCT, Graphic International, H Com, Intex, Merlin, Micro Trans, New Trend Computer Networks, Newcom, Premier Computers, Quality Computers, Royal Focus, S-Tek, Silver, Smile Computers, XCess, Trinity, Vish Computers Trading, and Concentration Computer Company.
ASBIS was the platinum sponsor of the event, while Jurassic Technologies, Kobian and Touchmate were the gold partners of the event. Channel Post was present at the event as the media partner for DCG’s IT Trade Show. The event also saw support in the form of advisories from Vianta Advisors, Euler Hermes, and Cosmos Insurance Brokers.
For the event, DCG had also assembled prominent speakers to motivate, influence and inspire its members. Ahmed Saood, the Founder and CEO of MASS CLIMB, spoke about raising the core competency level of business in meeting the challenges of tomorrow. Meanwhile, Anshuman Das, a HR Advisor, Trainer and Career Coach, spoke about how companies can engage, influence and infuse human resources within their corporate structure.
On 15th May 2014, the second day of the event, Vasudevan K.S., a provider of research, analytics and market intelligence solutions, will speak about how companies can release the potential to achieve with business analytics. In addition, Loy Machedo, a personal branding strategist, will speak about how the failures in academics, employment and business can help a person achieve extra-ordinary results.
“This show will help IT traders to network amongst themselves and understand each other more closely. It will also help raise the core competency level of Dubai IT traders. DCG has got a full calendar of events scheduled for this year. So expect to hear from us pretty often,” concluded Sawlani.
