Murali G, the Managing Director of Cursor Technologies speaks to Channel Post about the company, its products and services, its product roadmap for the year and its chanel strategies for the months ahead
Tell us something about your company. The profile, number of partners and so on?
Cursor Technologies is a premier IT manufacturer that caters to the international market when it comes to high-end technology. Cursor is one of the major IT accessories and consumer electronics devices providers on the market.
Cursor carries a range of over 200 products across 20 product categories and is also continuously working on developing new products lines. The company is also into a comprehensive product development with innovative product range which would attract the entire market.
Cursor already has its presence in 25 countries covering Middle East, South East Asia, Africa and CIS regions and is now planning to expand more in infrastructure, strengthening its distribution network and brand building exercises across the globe.
What markets are you currently present in?
We are very active in Africa, CIS, GCC and some Asian countries and this will boost our presence more as we are set for another product launch this month in Africa as what we did in 2013. We are also currently looking for new distributors in each of these regions in order to serve our customers better.
What products, brands and services do you represent and offer in the markets you are present in?
We currently offer our range of “Cursor” branded products in all the markets we are present in. We focus mainly on high end speakers and home theater systems, in addition to power products such as UPS, gadgets and other IT accessories.
Cursor is expanding its portfolio by bringing more innovative products in 2014 for our valued customers, depending on the market demand. We also offer customer support to our entire customer base.
What is the workforce strength of your organization?
We have our corporate office and warehouse setting in Jebel Ali Free Zone, and active product showroom right in the heart of the Dubai computer market. Cursor has reached 25 countries in less than 2 years in business. This shows how active and determined our team is.
What are your market strategies for year 2014?
We are all set for international exhibitions such as GITEX in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, road shows in African regions, launch of products and gadgets such as Android-based mini laptops and tablets. We are also working towards appointing new business partners in Africa and SAARC region.
Do you plan to add any new service, product or brand to your portfolio?
We will soon be launching a range of new products and gadgets such as Android-based mini laptops, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, high-end UPS, and power banks.
Do you plan to add new channel partners to your channel community this year?
We are planning to appoint a channel partner or power distributor locally to increase our retail activity more than usual as we are already engaged with some retail marketing. When it comes to the international market we will be appointing new business partners and channel partners in Africa and SAARC region.
