Drummond, has a long standing relationship with the Acer brand after his success and rapid growth of the business as Country manager Southern Africa 2003 – 2007, and has recently rejoined the company in the role of Country Manager for Acer Southern Africa.
This announcement will see Drummond continue as Country Manager for Acer Southern Africa whilst taking on the roles and responsibilities of the new Acer Middle East and Africa Vice President.
In addition to this announcement, a business restructuring has been formulated and without delay was completed by the Acer Middle East & Africa management team. Completing the restructure, Acer is now looking to introduce more competitive products with existing PC, tablet and Smartphone business and to stabilize their market share within the region.
