Omnix International to host 2nd edition of ‘Autodesk University Extension Dubai 2013’

Omnix International, an authorized distributor for Autodesk products in the Middle East, is set to host the second edition of ‘Autodesk University Extension (AUx) Dubai 2013,’ on December 17, 2013, at the Sheikh Maktoum Hall of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). AUx Dubai 2013 is a part of the annual Autodesk University (AU) conference held in Las Vegas which also happens to be the world’s largest learning and networking event for Autodesk product users.

AutodeskAs an international AU event locally, AUx Dubai will bring together top design professionals using Computer Aided Design (CAD) solutions in engineering, construction, architecture, animation, manufacturing and infrastructure industries in the Middle East. According to Omnix senior executives, the AU extension program is specifically designed for industry professionals to take advanced training on Autodesk products, learn about important industry trends, and network with experts and peers in the region.

Activities planned for this year’s edition include eight main stage sessions and 10 master classes for all participants. The offered sessions will take a look at some of Autodesk’s latest products; learn latest productivity tricks and tools used by professionals today; special talks and presentations from leading technology leaders and certification opportunities on various Autodesk design programs.

Pat Williams, Senior Vice President, WW Emerging Markets, Autodesk, will deliver the keynote topic, ‘New Era of Design.’ Meanwhile, Nick Manning, Senior Global Field Marketing Manager, will be speaking on the subject, ‘Imagination and Engineering’ while Autodesk evangelist Lynn Allen will showcase Autodesk’s prowess on the cloud with the presentation entitled ‘Autodesk 360: Embracing the cloud.’

Lynn will also lead a master class on ‘60 AutoCAD Tips in 60 minutes,’ which will teach designers some unique AutoCAD tricks and how to get the most out of the AutoCAD 2014 Design Suite. The event will also feature talks to be given by some of Omnix key customers like;
