Leading VAD in the region, Comguard in association with HP, Beyond Trust and Ixia Networks recently conducted a roadshow on Information Security Cyber Security@Crossroads in Riyadh to enable enterprises address their security challenges.
Information security, as a recognised business activity, has come a long way in the past decade. Various factors have caused the discipline to mature and it has now attained its “licence to operate” within the corporate and public sector environments, becoming one of the core business and organisational enablers. However, there is little room for error, as the consequences of insecure systems and information are almost always costly and distracting.
Comguard invited key end users to join the Cyber Security@Crossroads roadshow, which was aimed at engaging the best vendors and customers to learn about the current and emerging security technologies. This roadshow was a half day event featuring best of the breed technology products and solutions from world class vendors focusing on key trends in security technology solutions. This was done to share proven methods that could enable enterprises in the Kingdom to draw up a master plan, construct, and maintain the challenges of security breach and cyber threats.
The region has witnessed a growing number of cyber-attacks and security breaches, and the major corporation in Saudi Arabia has been one of the biggest victims of this cybercrime wave. The country which is the largest economy in the region also faced one of most deadly cyber-attacks in the recent past like Flame and Stuxnet. This roadshow focused on the most pressing security issues faced by enterprises in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the event, Abdelkarim Al Raie, CISSP, Solution Architect – KSA, Egypt, Levant & N. Africa at HP shared his presentation on Managing Risk through Visibility. Whereas, Marc Maiffret, CTO at Beyond Trust discussed The Threat Landscape and suggested the ways of Staying Ahead of the Change.
While, Derek Jackman, Regional Sales Manager MEA and EE for Ixia Networks explained the importance of maintaining network data and performance integrity by highlighting the advantages of Network Packet Broking Architecture.
