SafeNet, a leading provider of data protection solutions, has marked 30 years of activity at GITEX Technology Week 2013 together with their partners and customers. SafeNet is participating at the event for the ninth consecutive year and is co-located with their main distributors StarLink in Hall 2, A2-2, and Comguard, stand D2-5, at the Dubai World Trade Center.
“This year, SafeNet celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking the union of many different products, ideas, and people into one successful, growing organization. We are happy to participate at GITEX Technology Week on this occasion together with our partners and clients as it is with their worldwide integrated support and trust throughout the years that we have achieved this milestone.” said Miguel Braojos, Vice President of Sales Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEMEA), SafeNet.
With a strong market presence, SafeNet has had a local office in Dubai since 2009 and, during this time, the revenue has more than tripled, with a 20% YoY growth in 2012 that has been a very performing year for SafeNet in the Middle East. With the revenue growing and the market expansion, SafeNet’s local team size has doubled, with local presence now in Saudi Arabia and South Africa and a reinforced presence in Dubai. SafeNet now has more local resources to provide a better support and handle customers’ requests in a timelier manner.
SafeNet has been recognized as a “Leader” in the Magic Quadrant for User Authentication for the second year – a further evidence of its stability and longevity in the IT security market. Considered the most visionary leader in authentication solutions and the highest ranked authentication service vendor, SafeNet has a wide portfolio, from Authentication as a Service to on premise solutions.
SafeNet is also the market leader in financial data security for the world’s largest financial institutions, protecting more than 80% of the world’s fund transfers, providing transaction security for the world’s largest central banks, and securing ATM transactions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. SafeNet has more than 25,000 customers, both government and commercial and protects nearly $1 trillion in transactions daily.
Under the theme of Secure Breach, SafeNet is presenting its entire Data Protection portfolio during GITEX 2013, from data encryption and control solutions, to its comprehensive authentication portfolio, including the authentication-as-a-service solutions SafeNet Authentication Service. Visitors to its stands can also experience a demonstration of the Crypto Hypervisor, the first solution that virtualizes hardware-based cryptographic modules into consumable, elastic, and isolated cryptographic resources for use by virtual applications in need of encryption.
