Mobile customer service to drive growth in UAE telecoms sector

At 180 percent, the UAE has one of the highest smartphone penetration rates per capita in the world. LogMeIn, Inc., creator of the world’s most widely used remote connectivity and support services, believes that customer experiences have to be enhanced in order to support sector growth in the country.

“Mobile is growing at an aggressive rate in the region,” said Dominic Cross, Director of Enterprise Sales, who also spoke at Telecoms World Middle East conference. “The UAE is now ahead of many countries around the world in terms of mobile penetration rates, which means that future business growth for telcos will come from enhancing customer experiences to retain current subscribers and win new customers.”

LogMeIn’s Rescue is a remote support solution that mobile operators use to provide faster support, this allows mobile operators to remotely access a smartphone or mobile device of a customer following a query. Mobile operators such as Vodaphone recently deployed the Rescue tool as the innovation enabled them to support customers who had complex mobile devices.

“Faster connections and faster solutions mean increased customer satisfaction and decreased resolution time,” continued Cross. “These, of course, mean higher productivity and profitability for telcos, and a better bottom line.”
