AMD announced the appointment of Ossama Eldeeb as the new commercial organization team leader for Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Ossama will be based out of Dubai and will oversee the operations spread all across the META region.
“Ossama has more than 14 years of experience in the IT industry, and he’s been instrumental in growing our business and setting up our channel and distribution activities in Egypt since 2007. His deep knowledge of the region and experience will be key in raising AMD’s profile for our commercial organization.” said Bernard Biolchini, vice president of sales and general manager, AMD META.
Ossama hails from Egypt and his last assignment was with Microsoft in the META region where he worked for 10 years. Prior to Microsoft, he worked in the Egyptian Social Fund for Development working on general illiteracy eradication projects as well as computer illiteracy eradication projects.
“The opportunity for AMD in the commercial space is unprecedented,” said Ossama Eldeeb. “With the launch of the new family of APU processors and the upcoming 16-core x86 server processor, our commercial customers will have the right products, whether their business is implementing cloud, virtualization or other important IT infrastructures.”
