Leading South African distributor, Drive Control Corporation (DCC) recently expanded its team with the appointment of Robert Smyth as their new Western Digital (WD) Product Specialist and Sean Cocks as its new Symantec Consumer Product Specialist.
Robert Smyth will be responsible for promoting the WD brand to the South African channel as well as providing support to resellers. He will also manage and develop sales, handle marketing, promote and drive training, manage all purchasing, sales and stock forecasts and keep abreast of market trends. He will also manage the vendor relationship and ensure that the WD products are supported by strong product skills and knowledge.
Sean Cocks will manage the full suite of Symantec’s Norton security products as well as the PC Tools offering. Sean will drive the brands into their respective markets and support DCC’s resellers and retailers that sell these product ranges across South Africa, Botswana and Namibia.
With Robert and Sean onboard DCC aims to maintain relationships between the vendor, reseller and retailer with hands on extensive experience and product knowledge, understanding consumer needs at all levels and ensuring professional service is always offered with a quality after sales service too.
