NETCB to distribute Telos ID solutions in Africa

NETCB, has recently been appointed as the authorised distributor for Telos Identity Management Solutions (Telos ID) to distribute Telos ID’s identity-related event management and personnel deployment solutions in southern and Eastern Africa. The Telos ID Mobile Authentication and Authorization Control (MAAC) system co-ordinates the efforts of multiple organisations and verifies credentials and identities of employees, contractors, suppliers and vendors during any type of event.

In an environment where multiple organisations come together to deliver services, MAAC enables co-ordination and co-operation while monitoring and controlling access to facilities and information.

Based on identity assurance technologies built to meet the rigorous security requirements of the United Stated Department of Defence, MAAC is a versatile system that leverages a broad range of biometric devices and integrates with multiple HR management, scheduling and payroll systems.

“Controlling and securing access at random events such as soccer games, rugby matches, disaster areas, and even building construction sites has always been a major headache for organisers,” said Cobus Burgers, CEO of NETCB.

“MAAC can be implemented as a cloud solution or as an on-premise solution,” Burgers further stated, “and you do not need to establish an IT infrastructure to use the system. You can rent or purchase your own enrolment, verification and access points that are connected to a mobile network.”

“The MAAC system delivers a comprehensive solution that addresses day-to-day personnel management challenges, while at the same time positively assuring the identity of employees and contractors entering the area where access must be controlled, such as a stadium,” said Mark Griffin, president and general manager of Telos ID. “The pre-enrolment of these employees using biometric information provides the highest degree of identity assurance for venue management on the day of the event.”

MAAC is capable of using simple matching or advanced multi-modal biometrics, and its verification software can operate on mobile devices, such as a handheld verification system. Drawing upon Telos’ experience in deploying and supporting DOD identity management systems and secure wired and wireless networks, MAAC deploys quickly while ensuring the integrity and security of personal data stored in the system.

MAAC is highly scalable and capable of exchanging data with multiple human resources management, scheduling and payroll systems, streamlining staff scheduling, time and attendance reporting and reconciliation, and payroll processing.
