
HP has appointed Chris Johnson as the Vice President for its Storage Division in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. HP Storage Division is part of the larger Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking (ESSN) group.
Chris is responsible for the overall management of the business and will oversee all go-to-market and operational elements, including sales, supply chain, marketing, product portfolio planning, channel and partner resources, service and support, and finance. He will be based in the United Kingdom.
Chris Johnson has been in the IT industry for a total of 22 years and joins HP from RSA, where he was Vice President and General Manager and led this group to high growth results. Prior to this, Chris worked for 11 years at EMC, during which time he held numerous management positions, including Director of Global Accounts EMEA, Vertical Sales Manager EMEA Global Telcos, and Vodafone Global Account Director. Prior to EMC, Chris held sales positions at Sequent Computer Systems and NCR.
Chris is a team player with a history of bringing together successful organisations and growing the business opportunity with thorough planning and execution. His storage background is particularly valuable now, as HP Storage announces its new Converged Storage strategy that changes the way storage is designed, delivered, consumed, and managed. His significant EMEA market experience makes him the choice to lead the HP Storage EMEA business.
