Omnix International targets big

Omnix International today announced that it is on track to reach its goal of AED 500 million in total revenue for the fiscal year 2011, which covers the period of January to December 2011. The company has also expressed confidence in keying in 40 per cent growth this year with the roll out of the latest range of Autodesk Infrastructure Suite of solutions in the Middle East market.

The announcement was made during the roadshows held recently at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The roadshows are part of the company’s recent move to introduce its integrated package of new BIM based software, which includes the 2012 editions of AutoCAD, Autodesk Navisworks and Autodesk Revit Architecture, Structure and MEP.

The company currently boasts of a 5,000 strong customer base spanning across the Middle East region, with a key presence in different infrastructure projects in UAE, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The increasing number of major infrastructure projects is also expected to increase Omnix’s UAE & GCC customer base by 15 to 20 per cent.

Further, the company has revealed key presence in the growing percentage of green and sustainable projects in the region, as eco-friendly designs of these projects have been created through BIM software like Autodesk Revit and Ecotect. An example of Autodesk BIM solutions being used is the Masdar Headquarters in Abu Dhabi, which is expected to achieve 103 per cent positive energy generation when completed.

Omnix recently held roadshows in Damman, Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia also to boosts its prospects in te kingdom.
