LG to launch IT Academy for women in Jeddah

LG Electronics, recently announced the launch of LG IT Academy as a part of its CSR plan where the studies are free for all Saudi women. LG joined the forces with Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Khadeeja Bent Khouwailed center, LG Electronics KSA brought together LG Academy for Saudi women for the first time and it will provide Saudi women students with certified IT Education.

The certification has been approved by Jeddah chamber of commerce. To bridge the gap between academic and Saudi women in KSA, LG IT Academy provides key practical and theoretical skills through a structured learning program.

After completion of the training and required exams it would enable students jobs within the IT industry. The LG IT Academy is in the stage of recieiving applications from students who are willing to join Academy.

John Lee, Managing Director, LG Electronics, Jeddah said, “As we continue to bring IT Academy into the community, our goal is to make it more accessible to Saudi women who are willing and interested in acquiring formal IT education. We believe that through our unique approach to learning, our dedication to the varying needs of our students and our vast IT industry expertise we are able to offer a highly rewarding opportunity for students from all walks of life.”

Lee further added, “Our initiative will not only benefit those who train with us but the IT industry will also be able to increase the visibility of IT Professionals by employing our highly skilled and certified delegates.”
