Toshiba today announced the addition of STOR.E ALU 2S in its portofilio. STOR.E ALU 2S is an external hard disk drive featuring USB 3.0 connectivity for fast data transfers of up to 5 Gigabits per second and high enough storage capacities to host large multimedia libraries. STOR.EALU 2S will be available during the second quarter of 2011 in in the region.
With this new editon Toshiba expands its range of storage drives with USB 3.0. The ongoing digitalisation of entertainment content is fuelling user demand for reliable external hard disk drives with large capacities and fast data rates.
Large capacities for large digital media libraries
STOR.E ALU 2S comes with a 2.5” hard disk drive offering a capacity of up to 1TB. Powered through the USB connection, the small and lightweight 2.5” high capacity storage device is perfect for mobile use. STOR.E ALU 2S will also be available with a 3.5” hard disk featuring a capacity of up to 2TB for stationary use in the office or at home. It is targeted at users with huge digital video, music and photo libraries who need extraordinarily high storage capacity.

The metallic casings makes new external hard disk drives very robust and reliable. STOR.E ALU 2S will be available in black and silver-coloured brushed aluminium.
