Aptec Holding, one of the largest distributors in the region expanded its relations with Symantec with signing of an sole distribution agreement to distribute Symantec products in Pakisten. To commemorate agreement with Aptec launched roadshows in Karachi and Lahore, in association with Symantec, which were attened by more than 120 channel executives from 60 channel resellers to train resellers on Symantec products and solutions. Rizwan Ahmed, Country Manager, Aptec Pakistan also participated actively in the roadshows.
Essam Baghdady, Vice President, Aptec, said, “Pakistan showed promising indications and the potential growth outlook with the ICT sector is estimated at $12.8bn.”
Muhammed Tahir, Senior Technical Manager, Symantec, provided a technical presentation on the vendor’s security offerings to delegates. He also highlighted the significance of Symantec in datacenters and how Symantec can facilitate in technology to make a state-of-the-art datacenter environment.
Baghdady added, “Our partnership model focuses on optimizing availability and the ease of transactional business. We therefore put an emphasis on partner planning, enablement and joint campaigns. Investment in additional services and technologies can add value to our partners’ offerings.”
Aptec continues to extend its reach across the wider Middle East, Turkey and Africa region. In addition to its expansion in Pakistan, the distributor is also preparing to bulk up its presence in Azerbaijan, opening a new office in Baku.
