EMC appoints Mohammed Amin as new VP for MEA

Storage giant EMC has promoted Mohammed Amin to the position of VP and GM for Turkey, emerging Africa and the Middle East region.

A 21-year veteran of the IT industry, Amin will be responsible for further cementing EMC’s presence across the region which is one of the world’s fastest growing vendor in terms of technology infrastructure development.

Amin will report to Frederic Dussart, EMC senior VP, regional country manager, Europe South, Middle East and Africa. According to Dussart, Amin has brought extensive industry experience and superior knowledge of the Middle East and Africa markets. “We believe that his skills, vision commitment and expertise will strengthen EMC’s market leadership across various product segments and industry sectors and solidify the brand’s position in a region,” he says.

Amin most recently served as the regional manager at EMC Middle East and North West, East, Central Africa and Turkey. He initially took on the position of regional manager of EMC Middle East in November 2002.

Based in EMC’s regional headquarters in Dubai, Amin has overseen the opening of EMC Offices in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Nigeria and Qatar.
