SAP AG and the not-for-profit carbon disclosure project (CDP) are experiencing increasing demand for CDP Reporter Services. The services include solutions based on sustainability software from SAP, enabling companies to access both advanced analytics and industry data required to benchmark their energy and carbon footprints. Since its debut in 2010, the software has been adopted by more than 40 enterprise customers, including Cisco, DuPont, E.ON, Boeing and Hess.

WinSoft unveils the Arabic version of PagePlus X5

WinSoft International announced the immediate availability of PagePlus X5, the affordable easy-touse desktop publisher from Serif, for use in Arabic. WinSoft International signed a partnership with UK based software company Serif, creators of the award-winning PagePlus, PhotoPlus, WebPlus, DrawPlus and MoviePlus product range, in July 2010 to adapt Serif products for markets worldwide. And, PagePlus X5 is the first Serif product to be localized by WinSoft International for use in Arabic. It also expects to release the Arabic version for WebPlus and PhotoPlus in the region shortly.

EMC leads the global storage software market

According to the latest Worldwide Storage Software Qview by IDC, the storage software market grew in the second quarter of 2011, with a total market valuation of $3.4 billion during the quarter, up 11.3% over the same period last year. And, EMC cornered nearly 25% market share followed by Symantec, and IBM with 15.8% and 14.1% market shares respectively. Whereas, Hitachi clocked the highest percentage growth followed by HP.
