Techserve launches data recovery services

Techserve, part of Al-Futtaim group that offers one-stop-shop for electronics service and systems integration in the region today announced the singing up of partnership with Recovery Labs is the data recovery specialist in Europe. Partnership with Techserve marks as the first foray for the Spain-based data recovery services provider Recovery Labs in the Middle East. The announcement from Techserve also coincides with the opening of the first professional Data Recovery Lab in Dubai.

Taiwanese mobile chipset maker MediaTek has opened its office in Dubai, a move the the company believes will help it to court mobile handset manufacturers in the Middle East and Africa market. The vendor is aiming to capitalise on its already growing business in the Middle East with its semiconductor solutions for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions. By having a local presence in Dubai, MediaTek will further strengthen the company’s regional partnerships to better serve one of the world’s fastest growing mobile markets. According to the vendor, the strategy for the Middle East is to link start-ups and existing mobile handset manufacturers in the region with its OEM partners in China.

Kingston Digital Extends the Speedy Class 10 microSDHC Family

Kingston, today announced it is shipping a 4GB and 8GB Class 10 Kingston microSDHC card, joining the previously released 16GB Class 10 card. Kingston will add a 32GB capacity to the family in the second quarter. Class 10 cards guarantee a minimum sustained write speed of 10MB/s. Kingston takes mobility and versatility a step further when it makes these cards part of the Multi-Kit, which includes an SD adapter and a USB card reader. The SD adapter allows users to capture continuous images or videos in digital cameras while the reader provides a simple and fast way to transfer data to a host PC. The Class 10 microSDHC cards will ship as part of the Multi-Kit.
