Cisco and Saudi joins forces to digitize the kingdom

Saudi Arabia Digitization MoU Signing - 1Following a meeting between Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Cisco Executive John Chambers, Cisco Chief Executive Officer Chuck Robbins and Cisco Saudi Arabia Managing Director Abdullah Al-Swaha, Cisco has signed a MoU with the Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Investment that sets a countdown for an accelerated pace of digital transformation in the kingdom.

This drive aims to play an important role as the kingdom focuses on diversifying its economy and achieving its ambitious “Vision 2030” agenda, launched last April.

This Commitment further supports the kingdom’s efforts to drive GDP growth, foster innovation, create new jobs and strengthen global competitiveness. This partnership is a multipronged effort that extends Cisco’s commitment to Saudi Arabia, places it at forefront of kingdom’s efforts to develop a strong digital economy.

As part of the collaboration, Cisco will make its global expertise in smart transformation, digital government, and connected healthcare and education available to the kingdom, which is the largest technological market by far in the Middle East, with a young, fast-growing demography.
