D-Link to increase its presence in the region

D-Link, a major provider of consumer and business-orientated networking products, aims to expand its already considerable presence with over 50 distributors in the Middle East and North Africa region.

“The business in Middle East has been doing extremely good. We are trying to expand the warehouse by another 12,000 square feet and we are making a major investment which will be operational by the end of this year. We are expanding and we are doing good business,” said Sakkeer Hussain, Sales & Marketing Manager, D-Link.

D-Link has established its warehouse facility Jebel Ali that strongly differentiates    D-Link from other networking vendors operating out of the Middle East. It plans to further increase its footprint across the region and expects the new warehouse facility to boost its chances to capture the market in much smoother way.

In 2010, D-Link retained its No.1 position in the small business market based on enterprise Ethernet switch ports shipped with a worldwide market share of 38.5 percent. In the midsize and large enterprise market for that year, D-Link’s market share based on ports shipped reached 13.2%, ranking third place worldwide.
