World’s No. 2 PC company, Lenovo announcedthe appointment of Ahmed Khalil as the new General Manager for the Saudi Arabia to expand its presence and growing customer base in the Kingdom.

Khalil brings more than 15 years of high achievements in the field of IT, Consumer Electronics and Management Consultancy to the Saudi Arabian market. Khalil’s past experience has spanned Saudi Arabia and the GCC with an in-depth focus and expertise in sales, channel marketing, team management, as well as business start-up and development.

A report recently completed by the International Data Corporation (IDC) indicated thatLenovo achieved a noteworthy increase in market share in Saudi Arabia, rising 1.9 points quarter over quarter from FYQ1 2011-12 to FYQ2 2011-12, and 1.3 points from an annual perspective with a 2-spots rise in rankings amongst competitors.

Last year, Lenovo reported record revenue of $21.6bn and currently has a record market share of 13.5%.
