BenQ recently hosted a meeting for its UAE Projector Partners in Dubai in collaboration with its authorized distributor Abcom Solutions. Over 170 key partners from the UAE attended the event, which provided BenQ with an opportunity to extend their appreciation to the partners for their outstanding sales performance.

Special awards were given to selected partners for achieving exceptional UAE sales growth for BenQ projectors during the period 2010- 2011.

Manish Bakshi, General Manager of BenQ for the Middle East and Africa, said , “We want to recognize our local partners whose efforts in promoting the brand has enabled us to rank as the Number Two Projector brand in the MEA region and Number Three Projector brand in the UAE in Q1 2011. Our aim is to be the Number One Projector brand in the region through building on our past success and with the continued development of innovative and cost-effective projector technology.”

Six partners from different emirates received the ‘Award Of Excellence 2010-2011’ from BenQ.  From the Al Ain region, Jobeil IT Solutions;  from Fujairah region, Al Mutammid Office Equipments; from Ras Al Khaimah region, Al Mansoor Computers; from Sharjah region, Al Rayan Office Equipments; from Abu Dhabi region, Costless Electronics; and from Dubai region, Right Time Trading.

Other special awards handed out were: ‘Most Promising Information Technology Reseller 2010-2011’ which was awarded to Essen Trading; ‘Most Promising Consumer Electronics Reseller 2010-2011’ to Jacky’s Electronics; ‘Most Promising Corporate Reseller 2010-2011’ to Digitize Technology Middle East;  ‘Most Promising Integrators 2010-2011’ to Hicom Computers;  ‘Most Promising Partner 2010-2011’ to E-max and ‘Power Retailer of the Year 2010-2011’ to Sharaf DG.

According to Future Source, a market research body, sales of BenQ projectors in MEA region jumped by nearly 60% year-on-year in the quarter (Q1 2011) ,boosting its market share to 15% and rising from fourth-place ranking to second-place ranking in the market.

The report also cites BenQ as the number one projector brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a 21% market share and number three in UAE- almost doubling its market share from 9% in Q1 2010 to 16% in Q1 2011 (Future Source Q1 2011*).

BenQ also showcased MP780ST imbued with the Point Draw technology, the MX880UST Ultra Short Throw projector, the W600+  3D Home Entertainment projector, the W6000 High End Home Cinema Projector;  the GP1 Portable Mini USB Projector and the SP891 Full HD 1080P Auditorium projector. And, it is also expected to launch the world’s first short throw home theatre projector W710ST next month in UAE.
