InterSystems appoints new Country Manager for Middle East

InterSystems Corporation announced the appointment of Michel Amous as the Country Manager for Middle East and India region. The new position is part of a larger investment strategy in the Middle East region, which includes the recent development of a direct sales business structure, in response to growing demand for InterSystems’ software for connected healthcare.

“Michel has a strong sales background and an excellent understanding of the regional healthcare markets. We are investing significantly in the region and Michel will be responsible for developing new long-term business relationships with leading healthcare organizations and application partners in the region while ensuring that existing customers maximize the value from their investment in our technology,” said Stan Capp, InterSystems’ Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Middle East and India.

Before joining InterSystems, Michel was head of sales at Cerner Middle East. Amous also held various regional roles in sales, development and sales force effectiveness at Novartis. Amous has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelors of Science degree from the American University of Beirut.

InterSystems technology is being used and deployed in leading local organizations including Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, Security Forces Hospital Dammam, Qatar Petroleum clinics, Sharjah Hospital University, Royal Hayat Hospital and Al Mashfa Hospital.
