Abu Dhabi firm to invest on new chip plant

Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Investment Co (Atic) plans to spend about US$7bn to build the country’s first chip manufacturing plant in the UAE capital, it has reported. The planned facility will be a 12-inch wafer fabrication plant operated by Globalfoundries.
